“Editing the Personal in Poetry” is part of a migrant worker creative writing workshop series held on the 4th Sunday of the month, presented by Migrant Writers of Singapore and supported by Sing Lit Station.
This workshop helps participants look at popular confessional poetry, as well as any of their own poetry addressing personal topics related to identity and selfhood. Participants can look forward to gaining more knowledge of how different literary techniques might be used to express their own perspective or personal experience. Following from this, they gain a more thorough understanding of different ways they might shape or edit a poem during or after the initial writing process.
Interested participants may WhatsApp Janelyn at +65 8423 3274 to register a slot for the workshops. Slots will be given on a first come, first served basis.
This workshop is made possible through the generous support of The Majurity Trust, a philanthropic organisation that seeks to work with donors and charities to build a thriving and sustainable community for all in Singapore.
