Felix Cheong launches his graphic novel The Showgirl and The Minister at Singapore's first book launch in a pole dance studio.
Moderated by Khoo Sim Eng, learn about curious inspiration behind the graphic novel written in collaboration with Arif Rafhan Othman. The launch also features a performance by dancer, Katja.
The Showgirl and the Minister, Penguin-Random House SEA's first graphic novel, was inspired by the 10-day disappearance of Singapore's former Chief Minister Lim Yew Hock in Sydney in June 1966. He was at that time Malaysia's High Commissioner to Australia and was rumoured to be involved with a Kings Cross stripper, Sandra Nelson.
The book will be available for sale at the event.
