TranslateSingapore 2016: Bridging Word and Image: Translating Art at the Museum

  • National Gallery Singapore 1 Saint Andrew's Road Singapore, 178957 Singapore (map)

Translations play a crucial role in helping museums to engage a diverse body of multicultural and multilingual visitors. This panel invites speakers from the Gallery and experts in the field to share their insights on the challenges and complexities of interpreting art-related texts across languages.

TranslateSingapore is back this year to celebrate the cultural and linguistic richness of Singapore! Based on the theme “Mari Kita Berbual-bual” (“Let’s Talk”), the festival will present a full line-up of programmes, including forums, storytelling sessions for children, book launches and more.
