Join award winning poet, Mary Jean Chan, and other poets from their Asia Creative Writing Programme workshop as they read from their new poetry collection, Bright Fear (Faber 2023).
Bio: Mary Jean Chan is the author of Flèche (Faber, 2019), which won the Costa Book Award for Poetry and was shortlisted for the International Dylan Thomas Prize, the John Pollard Foundation International Poetry Prize, the Seamus Heaney Centre First Collection Poetry Prize and a Lambda Literary Award. Chan co-edited the anthology 100 Queer Poems (Vintage, 2022) with Andrew McMillan. Chan serves as a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing (Poetry) at Oxford Brookes University and is the recipient of the 2023-24 Judith E. Wilson Poetry Fellowship at the University of Cambridge. They are currently a judge for the 2023 Booker Prize. Bright Fear (Faber, 2023) is Chan's second book.
