Let's gather at Sing Lit Station for a very special reading of Gwee Li Sui's groundbreaking translation of Antoine De Saint-Exupery's "The Little Prince" into our national language, Singlish!
Everybody will get to read a page in turn, and if people feel taken by the mood, we might have actors and/or interpretative dancers playing the Leeter Tunku, his Ah Huay, and Fantastic Mr Fox. At a skinny 94 pages (including copious illustrations), and just under a minute per page, we'll get this done in 1.5 hours!
Copies of the very limited run have found their way to Singapore and will be on sale at SLS for ~$30, and It's rumored that unker Gwee himself will make a special appearance to read his own work. Come come come, die die must try!
