The World In A Book is a weekend of author talks and craft-based workshops celebrating the spirit of travel. This programme of eight family-friendly events will highlight the history of travel writing within the context of Singapore literature, as well as exploring how art techniques might be used in the creation of travel mementoes.

Learn how to draw, paint and convert your travel photos into your very own unique PhotoArt Book, together with designer and illustrator Lee Kowling. With coloured ink, charcoal, and specially created fancy prints, see your travel mementoes transformed into PhotoArt!

Join Adeline Foo, author of "The Diary of Amos Lee", along with Stephanie Wong, as they present a creative retelling of Amos Lee's travel adventures, and take a peek at the Korean Hallyu phenomenon, that has made waves all around the world. Bring your kids for an open mic session too!

There will also be a series of author panels and discussions about travel writing, including poets Yong Shu Hoong, Heng Siok Tian, Yeow Kai Chai and Phan Ming Yen, as well as personal travel stories by author Shivaji Das, and even a workshop on domestic tourism with Clara Chow. Don't miss out on the food-tasting with Sim Ee Waun, and meet-the-author sessions with Ning Cai and Neil Humphreys! Exclusive photographs by Jon Gresham will also be displayed for the first time at the Programme Zone.
