Sing Lit Station presents a screening of Poets on Permits by Upneet Kaur-Nagpal on 5 Feb 2017, 5.30pm-8pm
Watch a film together in an intimate "living room concept" at Sing Lit Station. Everyone is invited to the screening of Poets On Permits, a documentary on migrant workers who also write poetry. Five captivating people from Bangladesh, Philippines, India, China and Indonesia share their personal stories and views on the local migrant worker life. Get to know their personal stories through their poems.
We are privileged to have 3 of the featured poets with us – Mohar Khan, Glory Ann Balista, and Sandeep Kaur – who will each do a reading before we the screening of the 25-minute film. Mingle around after the film for some conversations. Bring popcorn and food!
Admission is free; donations are accepted at the door, and will be split between our featured readers and the venue.
