Do you love local stories? Always wanted to scribble on the walls? Why not be part of a Sing Lit-inspired wall mural? Join us and be part of a community that will brainstorm the design of a mural which you will get a chance to paint.
Muralist Anne Neo Hui Ting is a 2024 Jalan Besar Fellow at Sing Lit Station, and is receiving support for her community art project LIT! Our Community Canvas as part of the fellowship. During our very first get-together session for the project, volunteers will get the opportunity to talk about their favourite Sing Lit books, conceptualise the design for the mural, and vote for your favorite design elements!
Youths and folks from all walks of life are more than welcome to volunteer. All materials for the session will be provided, along with tea and some snacks; all we ask is that you come with an open heart and an open mind. An open schedule would also help, as volunteers will get to hear about Anne's plans over the coming months.
