For their 10th open mic, Layl Ash-Shayr is excited to feature Alfian Sa'at and RHAUN as we commemorate Labour Day and Mother's Day.

Alfian Sa’at is the Resident Playwright of Wild Rice. Some of his published works include the poetry collections “One Fierce Hour” and “A History of Amnesia” and the prose collections “Malay Sketches” and “Corridor”. Four of his plays, including “Nadirah” and “Kakak Kau Punya Laki” have won Best Script at the Life! Theatre Awards. 

RHAUN has been an ardent contributor to the local scene - from writing and performing in numerous NDPs, to lending his expertise as a music educator to many. As RHAUN writes snuggly rainy weather music, have your favourite drink ready, wrap up in your dearest blanky, and close your eyes as you fall into his mellow soundscapes.
