Marketed as a three-book literary anthology series featuring writers from all over Southeast Asia, HEAT, FLESH and TRASH is published by Fixi Novo, an imprint of Malaysian pulp fiction press Buku Fixi. With co-editors Dean Francis Alfar, Khairani Barokka, Marc de Faoite, Cassandra Khaw, Ng Yi-Sheng and Angeline Woon, as well as an incredible list of contributors (including homegrown O Thiam Chin and Verena Tay), the anthology series is certainly highly promising and worthy of your time / moolah.
The book launch for HEAT, FLESH and TRASH will be hosted by Ng Yi-Sheng at Kinokuniya. Singapore-based contributing writers Joelyn Alexandra, Verena Tay and Victor Ocampo will read their work and discuss what it means to be part of a new, vibrant literary community that covers the entire region, from Bangkok to Manila to Yogyakarta.
