The NTU-NAC International Writer in Residence Programme is proud to announce that it will host a reading with current resident Tan Twen Heng on 5 October, at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences' Creative Studio.
A Malaysian novelist born in Penang, Tan is renowned for his novels Gift of Rain and The Garden of Evening Mists. The Garden of Evening Mists had been shortlisted for the 2012 Man Booker Prize and won the Man Asian Literary Prize and the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction. This is an event not to be missed.
