ABOUT
Alan Bay is a comic artist and illustrator that enjoys spreading happiness through his drawings. His latest works include 'Once Upon a Singapore... Traders' and 'Sacred Guardians'.
His art has appeared in comic books, cartoons and an extensive list of video game projects including Assassin's Creeds: Brotherhood, TMNT, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, Ghost Recon and Romance of Three Kingdoms Online.

Description: In this 1-hour talk, Alan Bay will share his thoughts and experiences with comic drawing and working with fellow creators. He will also share some valuable insight on how students can get started in their own journeys towards becoming comic creators in Singapore.

Description: Break down the ABCs of storytelling with comic artist Alan Bay. In this 2-hour workshop, students will learn every step of the process involved in the creation of a comic book, from composition, frames, and storyboarding to lettering.

HISTORY THROUGH CREATIVE ILLUSTRATION AND FICTION

Description: Create your very own comic! In this 2hr workshop with comic writers Alan Bay and Aydeel Djoehari, take inspiration from history to create a fictional script and discover how to express your storyline visually with comic panels and characters. Students will learn how to weave an interesting story into the very fabric of history using smart storytelling techniques and a critical understanding of the subject matter.
Learning Outcomes: Learn the basics of scriptwriting; learn how to use history to make your story more compelling; understand the basics of comic panels, camera angles and character design; learn how to work with other to realise a shared creative vision
