Welcome to Fat Stan’s top secret underground speakeasy in Chicago.
It’s been a busy night. One of Stan’s pals, Scabface, was shot down by a masked assailant in front of everybody during the interval.
The doorkeeper swears that nobody came in or out of the only exit for the last hour, so the killer must still be in here. Is it something to do with the gang wars that have been flaring up all over the city, or is show business the motive?
And more importantly: will the killer strike again?
Join us on 18 August at Sing Lit Station for an immersive murder-mystery game, featuring a panel on murder-mystery writing with Ivy Ngeow and Jocelyn Suarez, moderated by Nidhi Uphadyay! For the first hour of the night, the writers will delve into the intricacies of writing plot twists and hidden clues together before joining the audience members for Murder at the Speakeasy, a game where you get to live through a murder mystery as a character from the Roaring Twenties. Come dressed to the nines and be ready to party!
Food & drinks will be provided, and there will be a book sale where you can purchase the following books: The American Boyfriend by Ivy Ngeow at $23; The Flesh Hunters by Jocelyn Suarez at $26.90; That Night by Nidhi Upadhyay at $23. Book bundle tickets entitle ticket-holders to discounted copies!
