Other Tongues is a Youth Poet Ambassador public programme. It is a literary festival that centers voices from minority communities in Singapore; voices that sometimes don't have space; voices that have some space, but could have more; voices we don't hear enough of.
Other Tongues is invested in promoting diversity by encouraging and empowering
young people from minority communities across language groups to participate actively in
the literary scene. We welcome everyone regardless of body-type, ability, gender, race, language or favourite instant noodle brand to come observe and learn from these conversations.
Sing Lit Station is proud to be a venue partner for the festival. We’ll be hosting the following programmes:
A Translingual Toolkit: a workshop by Alfian Sa'at (8 Dec, 10am–12pm)
Forget the Footnotes: a workshop by Balli Kaur Jaswal (8 Dec, 1pm–3pm)
