Panelist Vicki Virtue always dreamed of travelling the world and at the age of nineteen, set off on a solo expedition to Africa. A career in advertising powered her wanderlust further and travel writing soon followed as she chronicled her adventures. The idea of taking on the formidable task of writing a novel was conceived aboard a glorious dahabiya on the river Nile in Egypt. It was here that Vicki decided to bring back the fun and glamour of the classic whodunnit, setting each book somewhere new and exotic. Vicki is the current Writer-in-Residence at Raffles Hotel, Singapore. More info here.
Moderator Akshita Nanda is the author of two novels: Beauty Queens of Bishan (Penguin Random House SEA) and Nimita's Place (Epigram Books) which co-won the 2020 Singapore Literature Prize for English Fiction.
