Come wander the streets of Jalan Besar! Learn about its history, culture and people and be inspired to create a literary response to this vibrant neighbourhood.
Join Cheyenne Alexandria Phillips as she takes you on an hour-long tour of Jalan Besar, highlighting glamourous shophouses, old Municipal buildings, fun street art and more. The tour will begin under the shelter at Rowell Court, next to Jalan Besar MRT Exit B. Along the way, she will offer prompts for you to consider and respond to. After the tour, she will lead you to create a poetic response to the tour in the comfort of Sing Lit Station's office.
