Make your sentences shine and bring immediacy to your writing with the editing techniques taught in this workshop.

  • Learn to recognize filters, abstraction, and repetition through a series of close readings and exercises.

  • Focus on overused words and strategies to avoid them.

  • Understand when to write around an editing problem or when to slash your way through it.

Come prepared with one page of your work to edit during the workshop and be ready to try some fun short exercises on editing.

Raelee Chapman is an Australian writer who has been living in Singapore since 2011. Her short fiction has appeared in the literary journals: Overland, Westerly, Southerly, Mascara Literary Review and the anthologies Best Australian Stories 2017 and Singapore Love Stories.
