FASOLA is a presentation of Rhythm and Poetry (RAP) by three talented up-and-coming artists. They will each present two pieces of poetry that adapts to the form of hip hop music. This high energy presentation of modern poetry and music features poetry by Singapore poet Hidayat Nordin as well as the artists’ own original pieces. Audiences will get to hear YMB Ranii’s debut single Salam Perkenalan, which he co-wrote with his father, a poet and teacher himself. The song appeared on Berita Harian’s Carta Dasyat Giler. Hip hop duo ILNIA will present their debut 3 Kucing Berlari, which plays cheekily on traditional pantun. Haziman, will also present his upcoming Malay release Rimas.
