On 19 Dec the Migrant Writers of Singapore (MWS) will host the inaugural ‘International Migrant Literature Festival” from 10.30am to 6pm at the Central Public Library, Programme Zone, Singapore. The Festival shines a spotlight on writers of migration backgrounds, and will be attended by prominent Singapore poet Dr Alvin Pang as Guest of Honour.
The festival, held on the week of International Migrants Day, features a series of events which showcase the diverse literary talents of migrant writers celebrate global connections in person, or join the festival remotely via Zoom. In keeping with Safe Management Measures, the Festival will be open to a small on-site audience of 50, but programmes will also be live-streamed online. For on-site attendees, there will be a full-day book fair supported by City Book Room.
