On Nomination Day, parties all across the nation took to the stage to deliver their speeches. Many of them suffered from a lack of practice, coordination and group dynamics. Performing as a group isn’t easy. But whether politics or poetry slam, you can always invest in the unessential art of getting your message across more convincingly. Join Marc Nair in a fun-filled online workshop where participants will write and perform poems in small groups.
Marc Nair is a poet and photographer from Singapore. His works bear witness to beauty, truth and hope. He has published ten books of poetry and is the co-founder and principal photographer of Mackerel, an online culture magazine. He is a recipient of the 2016 Young Artist Award. His latest collection is Sightlines, a collaboration with film photographer Tay Tsen-Waye.
Groups may choose to meet in a location and share a Zoom account. For groups who do decide to meet physically, SLS recommends that each group follows the guidelines on safe distancing including temperature checks prior to meeting, having your masks on and seating 1m away from each other.
