A lot has been said about the power of the arts to change the world, bridge cultural divides and empower the disenfranchised. In this free workshop series, we will walk down a quieter path to discover how engaging in the arts can act as a gentle and compassionate form of healing.
Join Deborah Emmanuel as she explores the different methods of writing that you can practice to process the difficult emotions and experiences that arise when preparing for the end of life. The workshop will be conducted in English, though you are welcome to write in any language and in any form. Please note that we will only be able to provide feedback for pieces in English.
This free workshop is meant for patients, caregivers, friends & family of those who have been touched by terminal illness. Doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals are also welcome to attend.
Those who are keen to workshop their poems for the A Thousand Cranes anthology are encouraged to attend.
