Pooja Nansi is the author of two collections of poetry Stiletto Scars and Love is an Empty Barstool. Her key performance work includes her one-woman show, You Are Here which explores issues of migration through personal family histories. She also wrote and performed Thick Beats for Good Girls with Checkpoint Theatre which opened in April 2018 and explored the intersections between feminism, identity and Hip Hop. She was a recipient of the Young Artist Award in 2016. She is also the co-founder of Other Tongues, a literary festival of minority voices and is the current festival director of the Singapore Writers Festival.
At the age of twelve, Anittha Thanabalan’s first book was written in five chapters and in comic sans font. Her debut novel, The Lights That Find Us, shortlisted for the 2018 Epigram Books Fiction Prize, was spared the same fate. Efforts to keep herself and her dog alive include freelance writing and tutoring English Literature. Some of her favourite things to do are walking her poodle, trying to rap Twista's Overnight Celebrity without passing out and reimagining the final season of Game of Thrones. Anittha is currently working on her second novel.
