Join The Moon for an afternoon of dialogue, beauty and art therapy on 18th January 2020 from 3pm to 5.30pm. Tickets are $10 each.
Written by Akshita Nanda, Beauty Queens of Bishan will take you on a dramatic tale revolving around family, friends, love and pageantry. Get introduced to characters that are exquisitely represented and familiar to us in Singapore’s multicultural landscape. Akshita will also be joined by two of her close friends, Adam Azali and Zelda Tatiana Ng for a conversation about beauty standards, family and community building.
In addition, treat yourself to some beautiful henna art drawn by Rekha Vivek – owner of Rek's Beauty Care, with a minimum donation of $5. Engage with our Moon Maiden, Aqilah for a much-needed self-care art therapy session. Working primarily with air-dry clay, you’ll have the opportunity to explore notions of body neutrality and as well as safe spaces unique to yourself. Each session will run for 45 minutes, at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. Pay as you wish!
