Reversing Blake's narrative, from the world of experience to the world of innocence, art collective Pathfinder explores the emotional journey of redemption. Through the poetry of Felix Cheong, set to an evocative soundscape by Jasmin Patel, this performance will open your eyes - and ears - to how words find resonance and radiance in music.
Felix Cheong is the author of 15 books, including five volumes of poetry, two young adult novels, a trilogy of flash fiction and three children’s picture books. His works have been nominated for the prestigious Frank O’Connor Award and the Singapore Literature Prize.
Jasmin Patel has been composing and performing music since the age of 15. Her song has been selected as a finalist for the NEA ECO Music Challenge 2013. She has also performed at the NOISE showcase 2010 and the BUBBLEGUM YEARS 2011 with band Catalogue V as their keyboardist. She has also composed music for theatre plays (such as Ubu Roi). As a Producer/DJ, she has contributed at VLV as resident DJ, ITSATRAP (a monthly Zouk night) and Negombo Music Festival (Srilanka) to name a few.
