How easy is it to write a novel? What are the pitfalls? How much real life is embedded in fiction? Join debut novelists Jo-Ann Yeoh and May Seah as they share what it really takes to write a novel at this launch event of the books Impractical Uses of Cake and The Movie That No One Saw.

Jo-Ann Yeoh won the Epigram Books Fiction Prize in 2018. Formerly a features editor at SPH Magazines, her short stories have been published in anthologies such as We R Family, In Transit and Best New Singaporean Short Stories: Volume Three.

May Seah has spent the better part of the last decade as a culture and lifestyle reporter and currently works as a senior digital lifestyle journalist with Channel NewsAsia, covering topics that range from the latest food trends to K-pop.
