Migrant Library Singapore is a community-led initiative to give a platform for migrant workers and literacy activists based in Singapore. Apart from dormitory visits and the organising of literary panels, the Poetry Cafe is an opportunity for writers to present their work to the public.
Participants include Jahangir Alom Khan, a poet and writer born in Shirajgonj, Bangladesh; Nur Fadilah, from Jombang, Indonesia; Crispin Rodrigues, a writer, educator and author of the forthcoming collection, Pantomime; and Rosita Madrid, a mother of two from Philippines and a domestic worker.
