“By grief I’m nurtured; and, though tearful, gay; death I despise, and life alike I hate.” - Sonetto 104 del Petrarca.
A man reflects upon the chaotic state love has placed him in. One feels confined yet free – a sense of being entangled in a passionate ploy of his own actions, yet savouring love’s highs and lows.
This staging, by fashion creative Mazri Ismail and pianist Nabillah Jalal, aims to decode the meaning of life’s chaos and peace, by finding an equilibrium on both spectrums through exploring the intersections of poetry, music and fashion.
Co-Presented by The Arts House & NUS Department of Malay Studies. This session will be conducted in English and Malay.
