Join Epigram Books and author Suffian Hakim as we celebrate the thrills, supernatural dread, soul-soaring friendships and offbeat humour that has made The Straits Times give Suffian Hakim's sophomore feature novel four out of five stars for its witty, humourous take on otherwise weighty issues such as ethnicity, immigration and assimilation, and describe the author as "undoubtedly one of the most whimsical, creative and unpretentious young voices in Singapore literature".

It will be an epic night, with music by Tim De Cotta, and presentations by performance poet Jennifer Anne Champion, German European School of Singapore professor Markus Meyer and the author's partner Shelby Sekar. Suffian will also be there, so if you want to get your autographed copies of The Minorities, we'll see you at the final Friday of November!

And yes, we're feeding you, with free-flow beer from 7.30 - 8pm, and refreshments all night long. So see you there, as we celebrate all the things that make being human all that more magical.
