The Hive Screening: "Poets on Permits", Upneet Kaur-Nagpal

  • The Hive Singapore 59 New Bridge Road Singapore, 059405 Singapore (map)

For this session of The Hive Screening, they are excited to announce that they will be screening Poets on Permits, a documentary on migrant workers in Singapore, and their poetry, made by Uptake Media.

They also have an exciting panel planned with Upneet Kaur-Nagpal, the director behind this documentary, as well Shivaji Das of the Migrant Worker Poetry Competition Singapore, and local esteemed poet Alvin Pang, who was named 2005 Young Artist of the Year (Literature) by the National Arts Council.

The Hive Screening is a monthly affair showcasing films with messages, questions, and answers worth talking about. It is for arthouse movie lovers and independent film enthusiasts. Got a topic you want to discuss? Let us know and we might just screen it alongside a discussion session. Only at the Hive Rooftop.
