On the evening of 12 Feb 2017, migrant poets of Singapore are going to celebrate their week of love at Booktique. They will talk about and recite from their latest work Migrant Tales, an anthology of poems.
This event seeks to build a poetic bond between the audience and the migrant poets, with the stage opened up for discussion and questions in the end.
Migrant Tales is an anthology of poems by Bangali migrant poets of Singapore. Dedicated to "all, who left home", the anthology is prefaced by Alvin Pang, translated by Debabrota Basu and edited by Amrakajona Zakir and Monir Ahmod. It features the poets of the following contributors: Bikas Nath, Debabrota Basu, Enamul Haque, Kausar Ahmed, Mohammad Abdus Sobur, An Unfortunate Paradise, Mahbub Hasan Dipu, Masud Opu, Mohosin Akbar, Mohar Khan, Monir Ahmod, Md Mukul Hossine, Rajib Shil Jibon, S Rahman Liton, MD Sharif, Sikder Md Sumon, Zahirul Islam, Amrakajona Zakir.
