The stuff that sunday evenings are made of – attend a screening of Poets On Permits, a 25-min documentary on migrant workers in Singapore and their poetry, post-screening Q&A, + live readings by 2 of our featured poets, Glory Ann Balista from Philippines and Mohar Khan from Bangladesh.
The film captures five captivating people from Bangladesh, Philippines, India, China and Indonesia, share their personal stories and views on the local migrant worker life through their poems. The documentary features their poetic talent, and hopes to bring us closer as a society – realising that at the end of the day, we all have common goals - of home, love and happiness.
