Meet NLB's SG Author for October, award-winning poet Boey Kim Cheng, at this session moderated by Christine Chia.
Boey Kim Cheng was born in Singapore and migrated to Australia in 1997. His books include four collections of poetry — Somewhere-Bound (1989), Another Place (1992), Days of No Name (1996) and After the Fire (2006) — and a travel memoir, Between Stations (2009). He was a senior lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Newcastle, Australia, and currently teaches at Nanyang Technological University.
Christine Chia has published two poetry collections, The Law of Second Marriages and its sequel, Separation: a history. She also co-edited the poetry anthology A Luxury We Cannot Afford and a forthcoming sequel, A Luxury We Must Afford.
